Excessive wraps of webbing on the mandrel may reduce the working load limit (WLL) of the web tie down and may interfere with proper operation."

Design flaw. Don’t Buy. Zero stars.

I loved this strap until it catastrophically broke and it cost me $250. It has a critical flaw. There is one little pin that holds the handle together. The top is just inserted in the rubber handle. Most straps have a bolt at the top that also holds it together.

Yes it was locked down.
No it was not abused, used it about 20 times.
No I will not continue using the remaining ones I own.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with a review on this product. Quality of our products is very important to us and we are sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing with this strap. Our customer service team would be happy to look into this issue and provide resolution. You can contact us by emailing customerservice@uscargocontrol.com.

don't waste you money on the cheaper versions at local stores. These ratchets are built tough. Most people, myself included, don't realize that the ratchet is what fails. I purchased numerous straps and always looked at the working load as a reference. That is referencing the actual strap, they are cheap to make and extremely strong. The ratchet is what will give out. The plate that holds tension will bend on the cheaper versions especially when you hit a bump.
