2” Ratchet Straps
A 2 inch ratchet tie down strap is specifically designed to hold loads in place on trucks, trailers, rail cars, ships, and other freight carriers. Their design allows you to stretch the strap across your cargo, then tighten it using a ratcheting device to hold everything in place.
When choosing the right tie down for your application, you will want to consider strap construction, length, and working load limit.
Webbing and Strap Length
Our 2" tie down straps are made with industrial-grade polyester webbing that has been designed to minimize weathering and damage. It's resistant to stretching and wet conditions, and the ends have been heat-treated, so it will last longer for you.
Most straps are made using a webbing with a 12,000 lb. break strength - if you are looking for something stronger, check out our 2 inch heavy duty ratchet straps. Their premium polyester webbing has a break strength of 13,000 lbs.
The 2" width makes for the perfect mid-range strap. It does an excellent job of filling the gap between lightweight 1" straps and heavy-duty 4" straps, and can be used for all kinds of applications, from hot shot trucking to construction and more.
Working Load Limit
Choosing a strap with the correct working load limit is essential. This is defined as the maximum load a component or assembly should be subjected to during routine use. Before purchasing, make sure the WLL will meet the needs of your application.
All of our 2" ratchet straps are labeled with their working load limit to meet CVSA guidelines, DOT regulations, and WSTDA and North American Cargo Securement standards.
2” Ratchet Strap Hardware
Our selection of end fittings and ratchet styles are suitable for a number of different applications. We have zinc-coated ratchets, stainless steel ratchets, long wide-handled ratchets, and more.
We also have different types of end fittings, each with different benefits that could make it the right choice for your setup.
Flat Hooks
2" tie down straps with flat hooks generally have a high working load limit and are compatible with most trailers. They are the most popular ratchet strap style, as they can be attached to your rub rail or under the edges of a truck or trailer.
Wire Hooks
Wire hooks are also known as double J-hooks. 2" wire hook ratchet straps can easily attach in hard to reach areas or where space is tight. They work well with D-rings and other narrow anchor points.
Chain Extensions
2 inch chain end ratchet straps combine the durability of grade 70 transport chain with the flexibility and softness of polyester webbing. The chain extension can be used with your rub rail or wrapped around your stake pocket, eliminating any unnecessary contact between your trailer and the more fragile webbing.
Snap Hooks
You get extra security with snap hooks - the hook will lock onto the anchor point using a spring-loaded latch. Available in either a flat or twisted style, these 2 inch snap hook cargo straps are a popular choice for auto tie downs, as they work well with axle straps.
S-Hooks
Two inch tie down straps with vinyl-coated S-hooks won't scratch or scuff your trailer or your cargo, making them a popular choice for tying down motorcycles, ATVs, and other painted cargo.
E-Track
E-track ending fittings are compatible with E-track, allowing you to easily customize your setup. The E-track ratchet straps have spring-loaded keepers that allow for a secure connection point.
Endless
An endless ratchet strap does not have an end fitting. Instead, it wraps around your cargo and threads back through the ratchet to form a loop. These are great for cargo bundling.
We even offer stainless steel ratchet tie downs in an endless configuration.

2" Ratchet Strap Replacement Parts
If webbing or hardware on one end of your ratchet strap is damaged but not the other, try one of our replacement straps. These are also excellent to have on-hand in case something should happen during the course of a job.
2" Ratchet Strap Inspection
It's important to inspect your ratchet straps before use. You should never use a ratchet strap if it shows excessive abrasive wear, broken or worn stitching, holes, tears, cuts, snags, chemical burns, melted webbing, etc.
Corner Protectors
Protect your cargo when it is strapped in place with a corner protector - they are placed on the sides of your cargo to reduce friction on your tie down straps and to distribute the strap pressure over a wider surface area on the cargo.
Corner protectors are available in a variety of sizes and materials - whether you are hauling drywall, plywood, brick, or steel sheeting, we have something to meet your needs.
