A wire crane sling provides you with a safe lift, and the strength you need to complete tough jobs. Adding a spelter socket to your sling gives you the ability to attach certain fittings with ease, ensuring you get the strength and durability you are looking for.
A spelter socket is also known as a poured socket. This is because this socket is attached by pouring molten zinc or resin into the socket. This resin hardens to hold the socket in place on the end of the wire. This process gives you 100% efficiency of rope breaking strength and provides you with a strong lifting capacity.
You get a closed spelter socket on each of this sling. This closed socket has a hole in it; this hole can fit a pin or bolt to help with your specific lifting or rigging project.
The capability and working load limit of your spelter socket sling depends on the diameter and length of the wire rope sling. You can purchase slings with a diameter or ¼ inch to 1-1/2 inch and a length of 2 to 20 feet. This can give you a working load limit of up to 22.8 tons.
This socket sling has a closed spelter socket on each end, but we have wire rope slings with other terminal fittings. You can find open & closed spelter slings, as well as open & open spelter socket slings. Wondering which crane sling is going to help you get the safest lift?
