Coil Bag Tarps

Coil tarps are a style of truck tarp commonly used to protect steel or aluminum coils or other round-shaped items during transport.

The top half of the truck tarp is fitted to match the coil's rounded shape, allowing it to slip on easier and quicker, as well as limiting the amount of excess material to be folded and strapped down before hauling. The lower half of these flatbed tarps contain flaps that allow the coil tarp to fit around the transport chain securing the coil itself.

You can use a coil tarp when the coil is loaded in either the shotgun or suicide position and the tarp will be put in place after the chains have secured the cargo.

Heavy-Duty Coil Tarp Features

Our heavy-duty coil tarps are made out of a strong and durable 18 oz. PVC-coated polyester waterproof material which is designed to protect your cargo from harsh conditions including snow, sun, wind, rain, and road debris.

All US Cargo Control flatbed trucking tarps feature reinforced edges where the grommets are placed and abrasion-resistant padding underneath each of the D-rings to limit wear and tear when connecting tie-downs such as S-hooks, rubber tarp straps, and rubber rope.

Our semi tarps are resistant to fading as well and mildew and are easy to clean. The professional-grade polyester material is designed to resist tears and punctures and also maintains exceptional flexibility in cold weather.

Steel Coil Tarp Usage and Care Tips

Tarping a load properly is an important and inexpensive way to help protect your tarp investment. Minimizing the abrasion of the tarp against the load will help extend its life. Tightly secure the tarp with plenty of rubber tarp straps and rubber rope , along with other tie-down equipment to limit damage from whipping in the wind. Also, pad sharp edges of the load with corner protectors or moving blankets . Don't delay in fixing cuts and holes. On-the-spot tarp repair kits can keep minor damage from becoming a larger problem, saving you valuable time and money.
