E-Track Tie Downs
Safely secure cargo in your enclosed trailer, truck, or van with our complete line of E-track straps / E-Track tie downs and related systems.
E-Track has long been the industry standard for keeping cargo, equipment, and even vehicles tied down during transport. It’s reliable, versatile, and compatible with a wide range of tie-down accessories. Whether you're hauling tools, furniture, or machinery, E-Track systems keep your load firmly in place.
What is E-Track?
E-track is a steel rail system installed along the walls or floors of trailers and trucks. It creates multiple secure anchor slots where E-track straps, fittings, and accessories can be attached.
Instead of relying on fixed D-rings or limited tie down points, E track allows you to position your straps exactly where you need them. This flexibility makes it one of the most popular cargo control solutions for professional hauling and everyday transport.
Introducing X-Track: Next-Level Versatility
In addition to traditional E-Track, we also offer X-Track, our heavy-duty track system that’s fully compatible with E-Track accessories. X-Track provides added flexibility by allowing both vertical and horizontal mounting configurations, giving you more tie-down points in tight spaces.
Built from high-strength steel, X-Track offers enhanced corrosion resistance and rugged durability, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor setups.
How E-Track Systems Work with E-Track Straps
E-track systems are designed to work seamlessly with compatible E-track straps and hardware. Each strap includes spring-loaded fittings that snap directly into the rail slots.
Once connected, an E-track strap can be tightened around cargo using a ratchet or cam buckle, holding freight securely in place. Because anchor points run the full length of the track, you can quickly adjust strap placement based on load size and shape.
Should I Use a Ratchet Strap or Cam Buckle Strap?
The choice depends on your load:
- Ratchet Straps - Ratchet straps are the go-to choice for heavy-duty cargo. These E-track straps provide maximum tension and are best for larger loads that require strong holding power during transport.
- Cam Buckle Straps are quicker to use and allow better control of tension, perfect for lighter cargo. Cam buckle E-track straps work by threading the webbing through the cam buckle, then making it taut by pulling the loose end of the webbing away from the cam buckle. Knurled grips on the cam buckle use friction to prevent the strap from loosening during transport.
Both strap types are available with E-Track and X-Track compatible fittings.
E-Track Strap Construction
Our X-track and E-track straps feature color-coded, high-strength polyester webbing for easy length identification:
- Yellow: 12'
- Gray: 16'
- Blue: 20'
Each strap is clearly labeled with its rated capacity and working load limit, helping you choose the right tool for the job.
- The rated capacity is the load the assembly can endure in a pull test performed by a testing facility for safety purposes.
- The working load limit is the maximum weight the assembly can be exposed to during daily use. This value should be one-third of the rated capacity.
Fixed End Lengths
Our standard fixed end length is 4', ideal for most applications. Shorter lengths (1' and 2') are also available for compact setups.
E-Track Strap FAQ
Q: What are E-track straps used for?
A: E-track straps are used to secure cargo inside trailers, trucks, and vans by attaching directly to E track rail anchor points.
Q: What’s the advantage of E track over D-rings?

Q: Are E-track straps strong enough for heavy cargo?
A: Yes, ratchet-style E-track straps are built for heavy-duty applications, as long as the working load limit matches your cargo requirements.
Q: Can E track be installed on trailer walls and floors?
A: Yes, trailer tie down track can be mounted horizontally or vertically on both walls and floors depending on your setup.
Q: How do I choose the right E-track strap length?
A: Select a strap length that fully wraps around your cargo with enough adjustment for tightening, without excessive slack.
