Personal fall limiters (PFLs) offer many of the same benefits as a standard self-retracting lifeline combined with a shorter lifeline length. Their lifelines run from 6' to 9' and can come in either galvanized cable or a synthetic material.

They are compact enough to be installed directly on a user's harness, allowing for more versatility in complex environments.
