Polyester diamond braid rope has the same general appearance as nylon diamond braid rope, but is not as stretchy under load so it's ideal for jobs that need strength but little elongation. Extremely durable, polyester rope won't rot, mildew, or react to gas, oil, alkali, or marine growth. The diamond pattern creates a smooth surface that resists twisting, unraveling and abrasions and is a little more flat compared to other braided constructions. This makes it good for a variety of applications from sailboat rigging and tug and barge tow lines, to safety guide ropes and antennae guidelines. Although polyester is not quite as strong as nylon, it does offer superior resistance to heat and is great for outdoor use because it offers resistance to UV rays and won't yellow or weaken with extended exposure to sunlight.
