Single-Leg Eye and Thimble Wire Rope Slings
Our single-leg eye and thimble wire rope slings are among the most versatile and robust lifting solutions available. This wire rope setup is often chosen for versatility. The thimble end can be used where protection is needed, while the standard eye end may be used in situations where the sling will be attached directly to a load or in a choker configuration where a thimble is not necessary or practical. Thimble and Eye Wire Rope Slings are often used in conjunction with anchor shackles.
While the thimble end of the wire rope sling helps reduce wear in high-stress applications, the standard eye is more susceptible to wear and deformation. This can shorten the sling's lifespan if not used properly.

Thimble & Eye Sling Features
- Wire rope composition: Made using EIPS-grade IWRC bright steel wire rope, available in either 6x25 and 6x36 wire rope configurations, these slings are engineered for heavy-duty lifting while maintaining flexibility. IWRC core slings can handle temperature ranges from -40°F / -40°C up to 400°F / 204°C.
- Flemish eye: Each sling is constructed with flemish eyes, which provide superior efficiency and strength by securely splicing the wire rope.

Thimble wire rope eyelet: Reinforcing cable eyes with a thimble protect the wire rope from crushing and wear and tear, resulting in an extended lifespan of the sling.

- Meets or exceeds the standards and requirements of ASME B30.9 and OHSA 1910.184.
