Jaw to Jaw Turnbuckles

Jaw & jaw turnbuckles are the ideal solution for applications with closed connection points. They can easily attach to rigging components such as eye bolts or lifting points, and offer a much more secure connection than hook end fittings.

NOTE: Turnbuckles are recommended for straight or in-line pull only.

Clevis Turnbuckle Options

To ensure compatibility with a variety of applications, we offer several different turnbuckle options.

Material

Choose from either galvanized or stainless steel turnbuckles based on the needs of your application. The robust hot-dip galvanized finish adds durability and corrosion-resistance, making them well-suited for most applications, but if you are working in a marine or high-moisture environment, go for the stainless steel option.

Sizing

Our jaw & jaw turnbuckles are available in various sizes to accommodate different situations. Whether you need a compact solution or a heavy-duty option, we have you covered.

Jaw Components

Depending on the size of the turnbuckle, the jaw end comes fitted with either nuts and bolts or pins and cotters. This ensures a secure and reliable fastening, meeting the demands of your specific requirements.

  • Crosby forged jaw ends are fitted with nuts and bolts for turnbuckles between 1/4" and 5/8", with pins and cotters on larger sizes.
  • Van Beest utilizes bolts and nuts for sizes up to (and including) 5/8", with all larger sizes using pins and cotters.
  • Our budget-friendly galvanized turnbuckles have a nut and bolt assembly on sizes through 5/8". Bigger sizes are fitted with a nut, bolt, and cotter.

Industry Compliance

Our galvanized jaw & jaw turnbuckles meet or exceed the performance requirements of ASTM F-1145 (formerly Federal Specification FF-T-791).

Additionally, Crosby turnbuckles meet or exceed all ASME B30.26 requirements.

Manufacturer

Along with several budget-friendly options, we carry turnbuckles from two well-known, trusted manufacturers: Van Beest and Crosby.

Van Beest

Green Pin jaw and jaw turnbuckles are made in Europe using drop-forged, high tensile steel and can be used in temperatures from -4°F (-20°C) to 492°F (200°C).

Crosby

Crosby® jaw and jaw turnbuckles are USA-made, making them a favorite in the rigging industry. Their turnbuckles are fatigue-rated, with quenched and tempered or normalized end fittings for extra strength.
