Twisted polyester rope is resistant to abrasions, oils, gasoline, grease, and most chemicals making it one of the most durable ropes available. Its low water absorbency creates only a slight loss of strength occurs when wet, and it won't mold, mildew or rot. Although it doesn't have the amount of stretch that nylon rope does, it is superior to nylon for general abrasion resistance so it's great for high-friction uses. Twisted construction makes it flexible and easy to splice.
