This 12" military approved red tent stake (NSN 8340-00-823-7451) is a Type II steel tent pin that is heat treated to a hardness of 40-48 Rockwell C. The hardened steel, with a red baked enamel finish, allows the tent pin to be driven into frozen ground and pavement. Our tent stakes are Made in the USA hot forged from high quality steel and come in a wide array of colors and lengths. Custom colors are available with large volume orders. Often called tent pegs by the English and tent pins by the US military, they are all simply different names for the same product.
