The DOT requires roll off trucks to have straps or other methods of securement on each side of the truck rails to secure the roll-off containers before transport. This winch strap is designed with a flat hook on one end to easily and quickly fasten to a roll-off box. The 4" wide heavy-duty webbing has a break strength of 24,000 lbs., and fits into the truck's winch for adjusting; the shorter 5' length is ideal so there's no excessive webbing on the winch. If you want a more permanent attachment, you can use the sewn loop on the end to connect to your winch. The webbing also offers superior abrasion-resistance, part of which comes from a thicker edge made from concentrated webbing. This slows down the abrasion-process (but doesn't prevent it, so you'll still need edge protection).
The strap fits standard 4" winches.
This 4 inch winch strap is tagged with the working load limit to meet CVSA guidelines, FMCSA and DOT regulations, and WSTDA, CHP and North American Cargo Securement standards. It also meets FMCSA and DOT standard 49 CFR section 393.134.

Flat container hooks easily and quickly fasten to a roll-off container for secure transport. They include a built-in defender to prevent webbing wear and tear.
Looking for a combination of length, color, or hardware you don't see on the website? Want straps stenciled with your company name or logo? We also offer custom tie down straps!
According to the WSTDA (section 4.6.8): "When using web tie downs with a winch or ratchet, a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 wraps of webbing shall be wound on the winch or ratchet mandrel. Excessive wraps of webbing on the mandrel may reduce the working load limit (WLL) of the web tie down and may interfere with proper operation."
Another term defined by the WSTDA, design factor is the "ratio of the breaking strength to the working load limit" and should be 3:1 for these tie down straps. This builds in a level of redundancy to account for unknown factors, keeping you, your crew, and those around you safe.
Complete your tie down system with winch bars and truck winches, as well as corner protectors and CORDURA cargo strap protectors.
