Description

Caldwell Dura-Lite 419-1/2-8 Composite Lifting Beam

Composite lifting beams from Dura-Light are well-suited for a wide range of applications. With superior strength and impact-resistance, these lightweight below-the-hook lifting devices let you lift more without putting extra strain on your riggers. They are also non-corrosive - perfect for marine applications - and non-conductive - so they can be used on jobsites where sparks are a concern.

Caldwell Lifting Beam Construction

Constructed using a fiber-reinforced polymer composite, this Dura-Lite hoisting beam is built to last. The lug attachment holes have steel bushings for wear-resistance, and the long-lasting acrylic polyurethane finish adds UV-protection. When used correctly, it's designed to handle 2 million cycles at capacity!

Lifting Beams vs. Spreader Bars

Compared to spreader beams, these lifting beams will connect directly to the crane or other lifting machine without the need for top rigging, reducing the amount of headroom needed. However, this design doesn't distribute a load's weight as effectively, which means they are less advantageous for wide or extremely heavy loads.

8' Spread Lifting Beam Features:

  • Made in the USA: The beam is domestically-made for quality you can trust. Hardwire will be either Crosby or Green Pin - if you need a specific brand, call us!
  • Superior Chemical Resistance: Won't be harmed by alcohols, motor oils, diesel fuel, saltware, gasoline, water, or glycols.
  • Proof-Tested to 200% of Rated Capacity: Shipped with certification paperwork.
  • Top link and bottom swivel latch hooks included.
  • Industry-Compliant: Conforms to ASME B30.9, BTH-1, and B30.20, design category B, service class 4 regulations.
  • 2-year limited manufacturer's warranty.
