A smoke tarp (also sometimes called a nose tarp) is smaller and more square than a regular steel or lumber flatbed truck tarp, as it's designed to cover the top front of a load, protecting it from exhaust smoke, soot, and dirt. It also helps prevent wind from whistling when hauling steel or PVC pipes. Its 9.666' long x 10.75' wide size also makes a great option when hauling smaller cargo and you don't want the weight or hassle of using a full-size tarp. A smoke tarpaulin can also be used in conjunction with lumber or steel flatbed tarps that don't have flaps, as a way to cover a full load.
This heavy-duty smoke tarp is made from strong and durable 18 oz. PVC-coated polyester and comes with 2 rows of D-rings for easy attachment using S-Hooks and Rubber Tarp Straps. Each D-ring has an abrasion-resistant pad underneath to protect the tarp and keep it in excellent working order.

Solid strong tarp. Perfect smoke tarp for pipe
This was to replace a canvas covering on my " covered wagon " style on/off road camper that I made out of an old small utility trailer. The canvas did hold up to 70 mile an hour freeway speeds ( the top is actually three layers with the top layer being canvas with extra grommets ) But , after two summers the canvas broke down so I replaced it with this heavy duty nose tarp. It fits perfect and looks like it will hold up to the elements for much longer. I doubled the number of side grommets on the nose tarp as well as folded the ends under at the ends about a foot, gathering the ends tight over the front and back ends of the frame with a rope in the folds , like I had done with the earlier canvas. Freeway or no road at all it works awesome . I am thinking about making more of them and selling them.
