California Residents: WARNING
Delivery was fast and delivered as promised *****. I knew I was in trouble when I saw It was constructed in PINE & not a good HARDWOOD*! Locknuts on the E-
clip grommets***** but several SEASONED SPLITS were in the main skid beams*. I had to pick-up & Deliver a 5/600 Pound Steinway M Grand piano 700 miles away.
We secured the piano to the board with the E-clip straps***** . Had the skid on a dolly & had to slide the skid down 2 small brick steps then I heard a CRACK*! After delivering the piano I inspected the skid & sure enough it was Broken (1 main beam)*! I had to leave the skid at the place I delivered the piano. I called US CARGO CONTROL & talked with DAN . He was very helpful & was going to inform QUALITY CONTROLL & send me a NEW SKID NO CHARGE*****!
I will DEFINITELY REINFORCE the replacement with some maple or oak hardwood to the bottom for STRENGTH & ABRASION improvement. Lets see what the new one looks like. FIVE STARS for DAN & CUSTOMER HELP so far!
This board was perfect for moving my upright piano up my basement stairs. Once we had the piano on the board and strapped down, it took just a few minutes to get the piano upstairs. We had no issues at all.
This piano board did exactly what I needed it to do. Plenty of hand ropes to grab from. The metal clips for straps are a little limiting to fit some ratchet straps into, but I'm not a piano mover, so was able to get normal ratchet straps to work in there pretty well. It's a solid board. No problem with scooting it down a few stairs, and the pad is good enough from what I can tell. It was great.
